Here you can find the major differences between Google Play Store version & Website version
Storage Permission:
Google Play has restrictions on the ‘Read & Write Storage Permission’ and starting from Nov-2021, apps targeting Android-11 and above can only access public storage folders (e.g., Downloads, Documents, Pictures, Music, etc.) and can’t read folders & files. Therefore, any folders created outside of these locations cannot be used for downloading. If you want, you need to create sub-folders in the above-mentioned locations.
Moreover, SD card support was also removed due to Google Play Store restriction as stated above. According to Google, no apps should have access to SD cards from Nov-21 on wards (refer android documentation https://rb.gy/mleqvn). Only SD cards mounted as root can be detected.
👉 So in Google Play Store version of the app not support all folders like other google play store apps as well, However Our website version of Torrent Pro is not subject to Google Play restrictions. You can download the full-featured build from our official website: https://torrentpro.qinfro.com. All features will work without limitations. So you have full storage permission & can download to in to any folder
And Create Torrent, Watch Directory, IPFilter Path(Full Support) Features won’t work in Google Play Store version due to restriction in Storage permission , However these features will work seamlessly in Website Version.
Background Running Limitations:
1. Due to Android 15’s new behavioral changes, app services can only run in the background for 6 hours within a 24-hour period if there is no user interaction. The timer resets when the user interacts with the app.
2. This limitation applies to Android 12 and above but does not affect the website version.
Our website version uses different permission which will not impact background running, and work seamlessly unless user shutdown the app.
